Shiny Illumaniti

I’ve been hearing a lot about this “secret society” (if it’s secret then why do we know about it?) so I decided to do an article about it. It’s such a strange conspiracy, combining everything from secret dictators, evil witches, and I think I’ve heard one or two things on the Illuminati possibly being aliens as well.
But for all you people out there who aren’t quite that… out there, here’s a more factual look at it.
The whole thing got started when Adam Weishaupt decided he was going to create a club for intellects like himself in his home country of Bavaria around the time of the Revolutionary War. It was suppose to be an offshoot of the Enlighment, which was basically another group of people who sat around talking about how they could make everyone’s lives better (which some  of them acting on, many of the Enlighten thinkers like Thomas Jefferson helped create the basis for democratic republic, which was  America pretty much). Weishaupt modeled it a bit off of the Free Masons (gasp, another secret society!) which in my opinion is probably why so many conspiracy theorists like to pick on this wee little club.  While it was operating, many “influential intellectuals and progressive politicians” (Wikipedia) had joined in.
Then Karl Theodor, the recent king of Bavaria, had to go mess it up. The guy apparently didn’t like the idea of people getting together and talking about things like “power to the people” and all that kind of stuff. So he made it illegal. Of course that didn’t really stop them, they just moved but what really brought them down was some problems with the internal structure. Unable to get organized and do anything, the whole society fell apart.
Supposedly…
There were a few times in history after that when people became frightened that the “big menace of the Illuminati was back to take over the world!” (Yeesh, why don’t you just say they eat babies too?) Augustin Barruel wrote a book claiming that the Illuminati were behind the French Revolution! It traveled to New England and sparked something akin to a religious revival until it died down. It popped back up in the 1800s during the Anti-Masonic Movement (Dude these guys are getting a lot of crap).
So now in modern times the view of this shadowy group still hasn’t quite changed with claims that is manipulating the government and world events. There are also some groups that claim that they are the inheritors of the Illuminati. Really weird and mixed up… So now we’re back into the whole different theories part. When I went to research it, it pretty much gave me a headache, so I decided to summarize. Basically other than being a group trying to take over the world there are also theories that the Illuminati branch out into the world of the Occult. I read somewhere that supposedly  The Star of David is just a different version of the pentagram, a staple of all Wicca and Satanic rituals ( I mention this because there is a really interesting back story to this which I will get into later OR you might have to wait until I get that far in my book[s] ). Another person said that Lady Gaga is an Illuminati puppet, pointing out all the symbolism she uses that connects to them. I have two things to say to that, 1- You might be reading waaaay to much into that and 2- She probably is very aware of the symbolism she’s uses and it is simply for shock value, to increase her popularity (being infamous is almost the same as being famous).
So now what do I say about this? Well, on the fact of the Illuminati, I’m not so sure it’s as evil as everyone claims. It was created for smart people to gather and talk about their ideas, to feel special. A secret clubhouse for adults if you will. My father and I once discussed this whole idea of secret societies. He told me that these secret societies were made as a way of trusting people. There wasn’t any social security numbers during the day, no credit, nothing. You could be anyone. And during a time where you were spouting something that could be called heresy and treason, it was best to keep it within a select few, the few you could trust. No evil plan to take over the world, just a way of staying true to your beliefs without getting killed.
Now I would also like to say that I’m playing with the whole idea of Illuminati in my book but not as evil people (Conspiracy theorists are shouting “Blasphemy! She’s an Illuminati puppet!” Which I assure I’m not). Instead they are a group of humans and non-humans attempting to keep justice and freedom and all that wonderful stuff. There’s also an interesting back story to this new point of view which will be also discussed later or you’ll have to wait until I write it in my book! (See, this is me, trying to get you people to read my book!)

Picture Wednesday- Isis finds the body of Osiris

I just recently finished this one (thank goodness!). It took me nearly a month but that was just because I was being lazy and depressed half way through. It’s not very good in my eyes being that I’m not use to coloring full- scenes like this (I tire out very easily). I hid most of my mistakes in an ominous fog but that fog also gives it a bit of a messy feel…

Technical bits- I drew it, scanned it the colored it with Microsoft Picture It! Yeah no Photoshop, too poor for that. But this works just as well, just have to make do without a few bells and whistles.
I’ve been a tad bit obsessed with the whole idea of the Isis and Osiris myth, so I drew a whole slew of pictures about it (If you want to see them, let me know I’ll send you a link to my D.A account).  I kind of reinvented the myth and have it in my book (yes everything is about my book I’m writing, get use to it) which I’ll let you all see when I get to that point.
Tell me what you think, help my ego please; I’m a very sensitive artist.

Media Monday: The Conspirator/Priest

So hello again, more fillers, yeah!
Happy Easter, hope yours went well, if you celebrate it
I’m back with another rave about my most beloved pastime; watching movies. And coming out soon (or are they in Theaters, I never know these things) are two movies I wish to discuss.
1.       The Conspirator:
The basic plot of this one that I gathered from the trailer is that after President Lincoln’s assassination, the U. S government starts rounding people up who they thought were involved. One of them is a woman; a mother and a housewife. The main character (Hey it’s Mr. Tumnas! Yah!) has to prove she’s innocent in hopes of keeping justice in the trail.
It looks good though it’s not something I would usually go out of my way for. My English teacher suggested this one and I suppose it has a “conspiracy” in it. If lawyers and history interests you, go see it.

2.       Priest
Now this one I’m pretty excited to go see. Basically this guy from a group of holy vampire hunters (Holy vampire hunters Batman!) goes after his niece who has been kidnapped by vampires. At the same time his holy order, which is corrupt by the way, hunts him down. Very cool looking. It’s a vampire movie done right! None of this Twilight crap.
So have you seen these movies? Like? Dislike? Got any ideas for Media Monday? Come on people, excluding my one follower (Hi, how are you? Glad you like my work. Keep commenting please, help my ego), I want feedback (I needs my precious feedback, the precious!!!!)
See ya next time!

End of the World!!!! (Again?)

Well, right when we got done partying like it’s 1999 they have to come up with a new theory on how we will all bite the bullet. With that special year looming over us I thought it would be an interesting idea to discuss the whole idea of (drum roll please) 2012. An amazingly ominous number that has many running to their bunkers and made a really mediocre movie. Though, depressingly, some of the movies I really want to see are coming out that year (sob)
So where did this whole thing come from? For those of you who wasted your time watching the movie or among the hordes of conspiracy theorists, you will know already. But for those of you who are ignorant (*cough*lazy *cough*) I’ll be kind and tell you. Using a various amount of resources, namely Wikipedia, The Everything Guide to 2012 by Mark Heley, and my own wonderful brain, you shall be ignorant no more! Shall I just get to the point?
                Mayans
Yup, men (and maybe women) running around in just loincloths, thought large flat foreheads were attractive (no accounting for taste) and thought it was fun to push thorny rope through their tongues (and poking things into more uncomfortable places…) and the most important fact of all- they were absolute math geeks. But before we get into my version, let’s give the text book answer to who the Mayan were (and if any of you are thinking Aztecs right now then I am sending you back to school, after I resurrect you after I strangle you)
Mayans, according to Wikipedia-
The Maya is a Mesoamerican civilization, noted for the only known fully developed written language of the pre-Columbian Americas, as well as for its art, architecture, and mathematical and astronomical systems. Initially established during the Pre-Classic period (c. 2000 BC to 250 AD), according to the Mesoamerican chronology, many Maya cities reached their highest state of development during the Classic period (c. 250 AD to 900 AD), and continued throughout the Post-Classic period until the arrival of the Spanish.
The Maya civilization shares many features with other Mesoamerican civilizations due to the high degree of interaction and cultural diffusion that characterized the region. Advances such as writing, epigraphy, and the calendar did not originate with the Maya; however, their civilization fully developed them. Maya influence can be detected from Honduras, Guatemala, and Northern El Salvador and to as far as central Mexico, more than 1000 km (625 miles) from the Maya area. Many outside influences are found in Maya art and architecture, which are thought to result from trade and cultural exchange rather than direct external conquest. The Maya peoples never disappeared, neither at the time of the Classic period decline nor with the arrival of the Spanish conquistadores and the subsequent Spanish colonization of the Americas. Today, the Maya and their descendants form sizable populations throughout the Maya area and maintain a distinctive set of traditions and beliefs that are the result of the merger of pre-Columbian and post-Conquest ideas and cultures. Many Mayan languages continue to be spoken as primary languages today; the Rabinal Achí, a play written in the Achi language, was declared a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2005.
But their amazing empire ended up collapsing mysteriously though it is widely believed that they went out due to a disease or the overuse of corn in their agriculture. For such amazing oracles, they really didn’t see that one coming didn’t they?
But what we really need to focus on is their complete obsession with math.  Due to this they created a complex calendar that matched up with solstices and eclipses. Archeologists, through a long and rather boring process, translated their calendar into our way of thinking. The calendar, also known as the Long Count, ends on that wonderful date of 12/21/2012. So what makes this an end-of- the-world situation and not just an uncompleted document? Well there are these special books called, very fittingly, the Books of Chilam Balam, which states using the same kind of lingo that the Long Count used, that the world is going to die.
Take a Look-
“In the final days of misfortune, in the final days of tying up the bundle of the thirteen (baktuns) on 4Ahau then the end of the world shall come and the katun of our fathers will ascend on high”
Either this priest was having a really bad day or he just saw the end of the world.  However to shoot this prophecy out of the sky, some of these predictions have been attributed to the invasion of the Spanish and other invading races. But there is a second, more mysterious source called the Tortuguero Prophecy –
The thirteen baktun will be finished
Four Ahau, the third of K’ank’in
[Unredable] will occur
[It will be] the decent of the nine support gods to the [unreadable]
So there you go.

So how are we going to die? Well there are quite a few ways people have come up with to finish us off, which is quite disturbing that there are people out there who spend their time doing this.
1.      God, Quetzalcoatl or some deity will return and take the believers up to heaven and let the rest of us suffer here below. An utter rip off of the Left Behind series.
2.      The Mayan calendar will end. Historically significant? Yes. End of the World? Not quite.
3.      Something called the Time wave will die, taking all of time down with it. This was originally suppose to happen 11/17/12 but the guy changed it to 6:00 a.m. (At least I’ll still be asleep) 12/21/12, because it “fit better”. Either way we still Miss Christmas. But I’m not inclined to believe this guy considering the fact he came up with this while smoking the local weed of the Mexican rainforest. As much as I’m inclined not to make fun of these people I could not help but snicker at this.
4.      The Sun will reverse its magnetic poles switching the Corollas effect. Nothing will happen to us, except your toilet will drain in the other direction. It may also cause a solar flare that will make global communications a little funky for a while
5.      Cosmic radiation will affect us creating the possibility of having telepathy and ESP
6.      A Binary Star System will be found, it  will supposedly be the same star that caused the end of the dinosaurs
7.      Oil will be depleted
8.      A planet or asteroid called Planet X will crash into us. But that’s what they said in 2003 so I wouldn’t be buying asteroid insurance right now…
9.      A super wave will pass by our solar system bringing along with it solar dust that will cover the sun, making it hotter. This will increase Earth’s temperature, disrupt global communications and create nuclear explosions in the sky. But don’t feel too special, apparently it’s happened before, with the dinosaurs. a
10.  Society will reach a global tipping point that will either make or break us all
11.   The movie theory. I’ll let Charlie explain

12.   The government will finally come out and admit that they are being run by a secret society and they are trying to take over the world
So what does the wonderful and brilliant writer think about all this? Well I’m glad you asked (I love talking about what I think). Personally I don’t dismiss the whole thing but I don’t think it’s the end of the world. Even the Mayans didn’t think so. They believed that the world was destroyed and renewed several times over. Which is code for -We had natural disasters and we LIVED THROUGH IT. Therefore I’d say get your disaster kits ready but don’t be running to your bunkers just yet.

Media Monday: Nightwish

Soooooo,
My ideal post is yet to be finished so I thought I'd post something up for you all to munch on while I get the big one ready. Let's make this MEDIA MONDAY (dumb, I know but bear with me on this)
I decided to talk a little about my favorite band; Nightwish! This symphonic metal band was born and bred in Finland, rocking since 1999. What  caught my little freshman mind at the time was their mix of orchestra and speed metal, like Bach meets Metallica. Then as I got older I  started noticed the lyrics. Written by Tomas Hopplelain (did I spell that right? I don't know, deal with it) who is also the keyboardist, I found an interesting twist of utter emoness, philosophy, and fantasy. Take a look at my most recent top fav of their songs

 Master Passion Greed
Who the hell are you to tell me,
What to do, why to do, why bother
Leech in a mask of virtue
Such waste, to ever think of you again

Hey Judas, your Christess was our love
Hit and run, your will be done
Never sorry, never wrong

Master Passion Greed
Master Passion Greed

"Hello. How are you?
Let me explain one thing.
All for her and more for me
Why is it so hard to see?
I see no sense in doing this,
Not enough for me,
I !!!!! up everything but let me explain"

Some, day

Some day you shall flee,
Panting and weak

Master Passion Greed
Master Passion Greed
Master Passion Greed
Master Passion Greed

All within me gone but pain and hope
Hoping that the pain would fade away

Greed, your master passion
I feed the mouth that bites me
Mammon, opiate of the masses
The reek of your lies draws flies

Seek her
Seduce her
Tame her
Blame her
Have her
Kill her

Seek her
Seduce her
Tame her
Blame her
Feast on it all

Seek her
Seduce her
Tame her
Blame her
Have her
Kill her

Seek her
Seduce her
Tame her
Blame her
Feast on it all

With awakening the tears will begin
To my everlasting shame silence took me

You are probably  thinking " that's not a happy sounding song." But did I say I wanted happy? No, I want heart-wrenching, emo, monosyllabic goth music that will completely blow your mind!  They are coming out with a new album/ movie called Imaginarum (again, did I spell that right? Oh well) and I suggest if you like that kind of stuff you should go check it out.

Why the heck would this band have anything to do with conspiracy theories and supernatural? Well like I said their lyrics do use a lot of fantasy references (just not this one) and I have my own conspiracy theory on this band, which you will all have to wait and hear on a later time.

See ya!

Meet the boss

Hi, my name is Phecba. I am a conspiracist
I’d love to say I created this blog for the sake of sharing knowledge to the world but really that would be lying, and I hate lying. The reality is that I am a writer and I like writing books about Science Fiction and Fantasy, and the only real way to get published and distributed is to create a blog and get noticed by the public. So guess what I’m doing.
However I can’t just get on here and type up a bunch of gibberish! I would post up my story but then what would be the point of you buying the book? (I’ll put up excerpts from time to time but you’ll have to wait for the entire thing.)  So I decided to write about things that relate to my book, namely conspiracy theories. From 2012 to the good old fall-back of aliens, we’ll explore the theories, facts and the sides of some of the world’s greatest mysteries (gosh I sound like a History channel documentary)
So now on to the best part of this entire post- I talk about me!  Ha-ha, don’t worry, I’m not that narcissist. As you know I’m named Phecba but my real name is Jenna Benge. I’m just entering the wonderful world of adulthood and will be going to college very soon, hopefully… I live in the desert of Southern California and have been raised here all my life (I’ve never been outside the country, how lame is that?).  My past-times are drawing and (duh) writing. I’ve had many paranormal experiences throughout my life, which is what my book is about (remember when I said I wasn’t that narcissist, well…) with one or two twists to it.  I love being able to say I don’t have the average run of the mill life (minus the ghost  encounters and being called schizophrenic, that’s never fun) and will continue to seek out  new life, new mysteries, and new way to profit off of them! (That was a joke, kind of)
So what exactly will I be doing with my posts? Good question, a gold star to whoever thought of that before you read it! I’ll be researching books, videos and good ol’ Wikipedia for you to get the facts and background of whatever the post’s topic is. Then I will go into the different sides of the issue and lastly give you my opinion. I strongly encourage for you to put your own opinion or give me a topic to explore. However there are rules! The rules that can never, ever, be broken! (!!!!!) (Notice the exclamation points, it means it is very important!) These rules will be your bible of commenting on my blog! You will memorize them!  You will treat them like they are worth thousands of dollars! And here they are-
  1.    You will not post anything that nudity, XXX content, traitorous, or illegal. I believe in free speech as much as you do but my site is not the place for that!
  2.       I want no comments involving blatantly calling someone insane or stupid, especially not me! I want positive criticism not bullying!
  3.        No language! Because believe me saying @@*% or #$&$ is not very pretty and makes you sound very under-educated. If   you break this rule, I may make an exception to rule number two especially for the perpetrator
Any breaking of these rules will result in the removal of our comment and continued transgression will result in removal of the blogger. I  AM SERIOUS ON THIS POINT! Be nice, be smart, and be open-minded. Please!
As for how often I will post, I’m aiming for twice or thrice a week. Though my life as a tendency of taking me to other places.  But I will try my best!
Till next time!
